This paper litho print is taking part in the exhibition Fotografiek in Enschede, The Netherlands. It is a collaboration  between a printmaker and a photographer. All participating artists received a picture and we all responded to this picture in our own way. I received an image from the photographer Aalt van de Glind. I made this paper litho print.
It tells the story about a refugee. The unknown face that disappears into the water. With this print I try to tell what happens before that; a man in a boat on his way to a better place, a new country. But the sea is to strong, he can’t cope and eventually he must surrender to the current.
