I made my first paper dress for about 17 years ago when I was still a student in art school. It was a very simple one and I painted it green. And then I would put it on and made a film while I was wearing the dress and basically doing nothing just hanging around. 2009 I went to southern France and worked for a month in a guest studio. There I made four paper dresses. Again they were very simple. Because the important thing for me was what was on the dresses. I did not made them because I wanted to be original; I consider them as another way to express myself and to tell a story. A story you can actually wear. Soon I will continue making paper suit jackets, but first I will print the story that each of them will represent, so again; it is the story that counts
